About the Role:
TheHexaTown is looking for a motivated Project Management Intern to support our Project Manager in coordinating client software development projects. You'll get hands-on exposure to project planning, Scrum ceremonies, and how technical proposals, audits, and project documentation come together in a real client-facing software agency — working alongside developers, tech leads, and the CTO.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Project Manager with project planning and day-to-day coordination of ongoing client projects.
• Support the conducting of Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint review, retrospectives).
• Write and refine user stories and functional requirements in collaboration with the PM and technical leads.
• Help prepare, format, and proofread technical proposals, audit reports, and project documentation.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and action items; send follow-up reminders to the team.
• Take notes during client and internal meetings, and circulate clear summaries/action points.
• Maintain and update project trackers, task boards, and status reports.
• Support communication between the PM, technical leads, developers, and the accounts team.
• Organize project files, contracts, and documentation in a structured, easy-to-find manner.
• Help research tools, templates, or process improvements for project delivery.
• Perform other ad hoc administrative and coordination tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field (required).
• Great communication skills; proficient in written and spoken English.
• Solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) concepts.
• Ability to write clear user stories and functional requirements.
• Highly organized with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and documents (Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Docs).
• Proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
• Prior exposure to project management or Agile/Scrum tools (Trello, Asana, Jira, Notion, etc.) is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) and using them effectively in a work context is preferred.
• Additional technical knowledge (programming, databases, APIs, etc.) is a plus.
What You'll Gain:
• Direct mentorship from a Project Manager in a client-facing software agency.
• Hands-on experience with Scrum ceremonies, user story writing, and requirements gathering.
• Real exposure to technical proposal writing, project scoping, and client communication.
• Insight into how software projects move from proposal to delivery.
• A strong foundation for a future career in project management or tech operations.
• [Certificate / Letter of recommendation / Potential for full-time offer — customize as applicable].
